Description:
Do you know a student finishing grade 12 who is looking for a fun summer volunteer opportunity? DiscoverE is looking for Junior Instructors to help deliver engineering-focused programming in a unique and exciting way!
Through our Junior Instructor program, volunteers are eligible to receive a scholarship for their undergraduate studies, contingent upon admission to the University of Alberta and successful completion of the program. Junior Instructors will also be given the opportunity to meet current engineering students and learn more about the program!

Qualifications:
Previous experience or interest in gaining experience working with youth
? Ability to convey excitement and enthusiasm about science, technology, engineering and
math
? Ability to work within a team setting
? Positive role model
? Reliable and committed
? Mature interpersonal conduct
? Willingness to learn new material
? Ability to present ideas and material to younger audiences
Training:
There will be two full days of training prior to the summer starting
Benefits:
All Junior Instructors attend weekly/bi-weekly professional development sessions which are aimed at helping them prepare for university. DiscoverE sets all sessions up for what we believe will help our Junior Instructors start on the best foot possible when entering university and we are always evolving these sessions through feedback by past (and current) Junior Instructors.
