Location: Sunalta Community Hub (Main Level) – 1627 10 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T3C 0J7 Date: Monday, April 13, 2026 AMD Event Time: 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. MT (volunteers required from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.) ROLE OVERVIEW As a Coffee Connections Event Support Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and organized experience for attendees. This event is designed for individuals living with age-related macular degeneration and their families, providing them with the opportunity to connect with others, share their experiences, and gain insights from field experts. Your responsibilities will include assisting with event logistics, providing guest support, and addressing accessibility needs. Responsibilities
•Greet attendees and provide directions within the venue.
•Providing a sighted guide to guests with vision loss (training will be provided).
•Help set up and maintain the refreshment area, ensuring items are stocked andaccessible.
•Distribute event materials such as name tags, handouts, and registration lists.
•Support seating arrangements and assist attendees in finding their designated areas.
•Provide basic technical support if needed (e.g., helping attendees access digitalmaterials).
•Assist with post-event cleanup and packing materials.

As a Senior’s CHOICES volunteer, you have the opportunity to assist individuals (aged 55+) with modest incomes stay independent and in their homes by providing one or more of the following:
- Essential yard & home maintenance tasks (snow shoveling, lawn mowing, hanging pictures, rearranging furniture, and other general upkeep)
- Local transportation (within the City and County of Camrose)
- Delivery of mail, groceries, or any other items one may need.

All maintenance equipment is provided, transportation reimbursement available.

Meals on Wheels volunteers have the opportunity to assist the Twists & More Bakery in creating, plating, and delivering homemade, fresh & frozen meals to thankful community members. You will play a part in supplying older adults with healthy & nutritious meals along with peace of mind by volunteering for one or more of the following:
- Kitchen Helper: Prepping, plating, and organizing fresh & frozen meals to be delivered by volunteer delivery drivers.
- Delivery Driver: Delivering fresh & frozen meals to appreciative clients along a pre-assigned route. The ability to read a map would be beneficial in this position.

Location: Mill Woods Senior and Multicultural Centre – 2610 Hewes Way NW, Edmonton, AB T6L 6W6 Date: Saturday, April 11, 2026

Location: ACT Aquatic and Recreation Centre (Lounge) – 2909 113 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5W 4S1 Date: Saturday, April 11, 2026 IRD Event Time: 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. MT (volunteers required from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m.) ROLE OVERVIEW As a Coffee Connections Event Support Volunteer, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and organized experience for attendees. This event is designed for individuals living with inherited retinal disease and their families, providing them with the opportunity to connect with others, share their experiences, and gain insights from field experts. Your responsibilities will include assisting with event logistics, providing guest support, and addressing accessibility needs. Responsibilities
•Greet attendees and provide directions within the venue.
•Providing a sighted guide to guests with vision loss (training will be provided).
