The role of the volunteer navigator is to journey with persons (aged 55+) as they travel the long and winding road of declining health. A volunteer navigator is a listening, supportive presence who works with individuals and their families to facilitate connections, independence, and promote quality of life. By establishing relationships with the client(s), the volunteer learns who these individuals are and what is important to them in order to navigate the changes and needs that arise as they seek to live long and well in the place they call home. As a Senior’s CHOICES volunteer, you have the opportunity to assist individuals (aged 55+) with modest incomes stay independent and in their homes by providing one or more of the following:
- Essential yard & home maintenance tasks (snow shoveling, lawn mowing, hanging pictures, rearranging furniture, and other general upkeep)
- Local transportation (within the City and County of Camrose)
- Delivery of mail, groceries, or any other items one may need.
All maintenance equipment is provided, transportation reimbursement available.

Meals on Wheels volunteers have the opportunity to assist the Twists & More Bakery in creating, plating, and delivering homemade, fresh & frozen meals to thankful community members. You will play a part in supplying older adults with healthy & nutritious meals along with peace of mind by volunteering for one or more of the following:
- Kitchen Helper: Prepping, plating, and organizing fresh & frozen meals to be delivered by volunteer delivery drivers.
- Delivery Driver: Delivering fresh & frozen meals to appreciative clients along a pre-assigned route. The ability to read a map would be beneficial in this position.
