Are you looking to gain experience working with youth? The Fred Otto DiscoverE Program is currently looking to expand our community through a team of volunteers (15 years and older) to help us deliver fun, accessible and innovative programming within our summer camps. Summer camp volunteers work within the camp room to aid our instructors to make an engaging engineering experience for our campers.

Do you like gardening, eating fresh vegetables, and volunteering?

Edmonton Organic Growers Guild is a group of volunteers who grows vegetables for food banks and to share among themselves.

We are looking for volunteers immediately and throughout the summer to help with our extensive garden plots at the University of Alberta’s South Campus.

Additional benefits include exercise, learning about gardening, and contributing to local food banks.

No experience necessary.

Are you in the science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) fields? The Faculty of Engineering's Fred Otto DiscoverE Program is looking for mentors to present their experience and knowledge in the STEM fields and answer any questions children and youth might have.
Mentors deliver sessions about their interests, what they're studying, their projects and etc. Presentations can be held in person or virtually and typically run for an hour every Friday morning throughout the summer.
