The Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation is currently looking for volunteers for our inaugural Hope Walk for Pulmonary Fibrosis in Edmonton. The volunteers meet virtually with staff to support various aspects of the event, from sponsorship, community outreach, to event logistics. Your skills and expertise will help us ensure the success of the Walk and make a positive impact on the pulmonary fibrosis community.
The walk is being held at Sir Wilfred Laurier Park on June 28th, 2025.

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in your community? Volunteer with the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation as a Walk Volunteer and help create a powerful event that supports patients and their families while raising awareness for pulmonary fibrosis in your community.
What You’ll Do As a volunteer, you’ll play a vital role in bringing the Hope Walk to life by:
Planning and Organizing: Collaborate with our team to plan event logistics.
Promotion: Help spread the word through marketing efforts and recruit participants.
Time Commitment: Attend virtual meetings (Approx. 1 hour each) possibly more frequently closer to the event date, 2- 4 hours per month for event planning, promotion and sourcing local vendors, meeting with staff on the Friday before the event as well as attending on event day. The commitment will depend on your availability and what capacity you want to volunteer. We will work with you.
The Hope Walk for Pulmonary Fibrosis is in it’s inaugural year in Edmonton and we believe it will be a great addition to the other Hope Walks we host across Canada. When you participate in the Hope Walk, you are joining a group of passionate people with a shared goal of bringing hope and support to people living with pulmonary fibrosis.

Qualifications:
Who Should Apply? No experience required! We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate people with strong organizational and communication skills who want to make a difference in their community and a drive to help
Training:
I will send you a volunteer manual to read over and sign.
