Description:

Do you possess a willingness to foster a creative and social outlet for adults through arts or crafts? If so, this is the perfect volunteer role for you. As an art program volunteer, you will be conducting art groups at designated sites for Edmonton Centre of Hope.

You will gain experience in collaborating with staff to help residents/program participants engage in art projects. This is an excellent volunteer experience for someone who is patient, organized and enjoys motivating others to find their creativity and expression.


Qualifications:

Familiarity with vulnerable populations an asset (mental health, addictions, homelessness).
Engaging with adults, possibly with a mental health diagnosis, in a friendly and approachable manner.
Patient, positive disposition and a willingness to help others.
Contributes to ideas for art projects. Aids in teaching art skills to individuals/groups.
Communicates well with a proven ability to initiate and maintain conversation while maintaining professional boundaries.
Strong organizational skills.
A Vulnerable Sector Check may be required.


Training:

Some e-learning courses may be required.
