Description:
As a Robotics Team Mentor, you will be at the forefront of inspiring and guiding young students on their journey to become innovators. The goal of the FIRST® LEGO League is to foster leadership, problem-solving skills, a sense of belonging, and self-confidence in the minds of talented grade 4-6 students.
As a volunteer in this role, you will collaborate closely with the Robotics Team Leads to guide and mentor a group of young robotics enthusiasts as they embark on the exciting journey of building and coding robots to tackle specific challenges within competitive settings.
Located in the heart of amiskwacîwâskahikan in Treaty Six Territory and the Métis Homeland, at TELUS World of Science – Edmonton (TWOSE) we are a catalyst for lifelong learning, creating a community of curious minds through immersive experiences and connections with the wonders of science.

Qualifications:
Creating a positive and motivating atmosphere during robot-building missions will be crucial, as you'll offer encouragement and constructive guidance to maintain participants' enthusiasm and focus. Personalized assistance will be provided to those who require extra support in programming robots to successfully complete various competition tasks and challenges.
Training:
All volunteers attend a facility tour, and then receive department specific training!
