Location: Remote within Alberta. On-site presence optional but preferred for 3-4 seasonal events at Rocky Mountain Motorsports, Carstairs.
Duration: Mid-March to late September, annually

About ARCA: The Alberta Race Car Association (ARCA) is a motorsport club dedicated to organizing safe, competitive, and fair road racing events in Alberta at the new Rocky Mountain Motorsports track in Carstairs, Alberta. In addition to racing events, ARCA offers an annual competition driving school, teaching the fundamentals of high-performance and competition driving to enthusiasts. The association also provides training for track workers in areas such as flagging, communications, technical inspection, and timing and scoring. Learn more at www.albertaracecar.ca.
Role Overview: We are seeking a creative and knowledgeable Social Media Manager to enhance ARCA's digital footprint and improve awareness and understanding of the sport across Alberta. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective social media strategies that engage our audience and drive traffic to our digital platforms. This position is ideal for post-secondary students, individuals aiming to expand their portfolio in social media management, or anyone with an interest in motorsport and expertise in social media.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and manage engaging content for ARCA's existing Facebook page and establish a presence on Instagram.
• Manage day-to-day social media activities including content creation, scheduling, publishing, and community engagement.
• Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance ARCA’s online presence, aligning with key objectives to increase awareness of racing in Alberta, engage and inspire the next generation of motorsport enthusiasts, promote greater representation of women in racing, attract new drivers, and recruit volunteers for various trackside roles
• Ideally, attend 3-4 race events during the race season to capture content and engage with the ARCA community.

• Experience in social media video editing and basic graphic design skills with tools like Canva.
• Ability to generate compelling content that resonates with key audiences.
• Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and remotely.
• An interest in racing or a willingness to learn about the sport.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a knack for storytelling through digital platforms.
• Proficient proofreading skills with an eye for detail to ensure high-quality content.
