Description:
CNIB is seeking enthusiastic and supportive volunteers to serve as Peer Support Group Co-Facilitators. In this role, you will work alongside a lead facilitator to help create a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging environment for individuals who are living with sight loss.
Responsibilities:
- Support the lead facilitator during peer support group meetings.
- Welcome participants and help foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere.
- Encourage conversation and engagement among group members.
- Assist with group logistics and participant communication as needed.
We currently have co- facilitator opportunities available in the following locations:
Virtual Groups (facilitated online)
Spruce Grove
Sherwood Park
St. Albert
Qualifications:
- Comfortable dealing with strong emotions in a group setting.
- Work well with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
-Friendly and empathetic.
-Prior group facilitation experience is an asset.
- Minimum 18 years old.
Training:
General orientation and co-facilitator training (either group or one-on-one).
