Collaborating & Innovating
Sustain SU collaborates regularly with a diverse range of organizations to affect change in our community. We actively seek to support student and community initiatives through the means of the SU to the maximum extent of its capacity. Through a strong working relationship with the Office of Sustainability, we work to facilitate student launched sustainability initiatives and to improve existing projects and programs.
We hope to encourage social-ecological innovation at the University of Alberta and in Edmonton by engaging an audience of change agents and the late majority. We recognize that innovation is a complex process, and apply adaptive management to improve upon what we have built in the past. Innovations such as new technologies or social paradigms can be revolutionary. By disrupting the status quo they encourage a societal shift. Essentially we believe ideas generated with the goal of creative problem solving in mind change the fabric of society. Lets work together towards that goal!
